In 2009 Cida (Cultural Industries Development Agency) commissioned 12 artists to cover 54 square metres of hoardings during the erection of the Minaret outside the Jamme Masjid Mosque part of the Brick Lane Cultural trail.

Overlay Hoardings Brick Lane
My panel was mixed media: mosaic with inlaid found objects to support my concept of Brick Lane being like a flowing river littered with the remnants of its inhabitants. Articles that may have been misplaced or dropped in the currant. Objects such as keys, bottle-tops, jewellery and accessories as well as trinkets from local shops. Emphasising the theory of one persons trash being another one’s treasure.
