I was invited to participate in the 2nd international artistic intervention in Berazategui Argentina = Arte x Parte 2 in July July 2013.
Fifty artists from Latin America and Europe were chosen to collectively adorn varying sized PVC pipes to be installed on the facade of the centre of Culture and Sports “Roberto De Vicenzo” This time we sought to priorotize the facade bordering Lisandro de la Torre Diagonal, pursuing the same goal as in the 2010 edition: the activation of public space for reflection on the cultural, social and political, through the enhancement a landmark building for the city.

This year the brief was to focus on community collaboration so I teamed up with a group of enthusiastic young people who lived on a Barrio called CGT on the outskirts of Berazategui City.

We chose to visually celebrate their colorful life on the Barrio expressing characters, fiestas, music, energy and leisure activities all centered around their dominating land mark – their life giving water tank.

Peter Pan made his way to represent the vibrant Youth Culture of CGT and so it was named ‘The Pipe of Peter Pan.

Our project was filmed by the Municipal of Berazategui and you can catch some more clips of us and other participants fantastic contributions.
